Photography is Storytelling

Hi, I’m Kayla Dusz-Mahon — an Ohio Valley wedding and lifestyle photographer living in rural Ohio with my husband, our two dogs, and cat.

I truly love this little life of mine. It’s one I prayed many years for, and I don’t take a single answered prayer lightly.

Photography has always felt sacred to me because I see it as storytelling — the way God paints beauty through every season of our lives. The love story that led to “I do.” The first baby placed in your arms. A grandparent’s 60-year marriage. A dream stepping into reality through a growing business.

These moments are not small. They are the chapters that shape us.

Photographs are keepsakes of what we can never return to — but what we can hold onto. There is something deeply meaningful about freezing a moment that would otherwise pass too quickly.

My own family doesn’t go undocumented — not just because this is my passion, but because I believe it’s important. Life moves fast. The ordinary becomes sacred when we look back.

I live in the beauty of an answered prayer alongside my husband — my biggest supporter — and I bring that same intentionality, gratitude, and care into every story I document.
